    List of Ingredients

4 apples, peeled and sliced thin
    ¾ cup sugar
    cinnamon
    1 Tablespoon margarine
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 egg
    ½ cup flour
    ½ tsp baking powder
    Pecan halves or pieces

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Put sliced apples in greased pie pan and sprinkle with ¼ cup sugar then cinnamon. Cover and bake for 20 minutes.

While the apples are baking, with hand mixer, cream margarine and remaining ½ cup sugar. Add vanilla and egg and mix well. Add flour and baking powder. It will be a thick mixture.

When apples are done, sprinkle nuts on top of baked apples. Place spoonfuls of mixture on baked apples and let sit a minute to make the mixture easier to spread. Spread mixture then put pan in oven and bake uncovered for another 20 minutes.

Serve warm (can be reheated) with vanilla ice cream. Yum!!
