8 ounces thin noodles
¼ to ½ cup oil
1 packet onion soup mix
1 cup water
1 can stems and pieces mushrooms, drained (optional ingredient)
1 can clear condensed chicken soup
½ cup cooked rice

Heat oil and fry noodles until most of the noodles are golden brown (the noodles will not fry evenly so there will be some that are dark and others that look almost the same as when you put them in the pan).
At the same time, boil water then add onion soup mix and mushrooms and remove from heat.
When noodles are fried, add rice, chicken soup, and onion soup and mushrooms. Simmer on a very low flame, stirring every few minutes, until liquid is pasty (about 10-20 minutes.
