I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. this is a WONDERFUL recipe.
List of Ingredients
2 cut up chickens or equivalent (you cau use boneless chicken as well)
1 can sweet pitted cherries
2 (16 ounce) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup (or 1 large can)
2 bottles Heinz chili sauce
Water (enough to clean out bottles)
Celery (5-6 stalks cut int bite-size pieces)
1 or 2 onion (half slices separated)
Pepper

Preheat oven to 350°. Clean chicken and place in a greased pan or oven-safe chicken fryer (something deep). Mix cherries, peaches, chili sauce, and water in a large bowl. Sprinkle Garlic and pepper on chicken. Sprinkle onions and celery onto chicken. Pour fruit mixture on top of chicken. Bake uncovered for 1¼ to 1¾ hours.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
** Serve with Rice and Broccoli as side dishes
