Danish Apple Cake

List of Ingredients




1 cup Graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup butter
½ cup sugar
¼ tsp ground cardamon
½ tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 ½ cups applesauce
1 pt. heavy cream, whipped
Maraschino cherries

Melt butter, mix with graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Mix applesauce and spices together in separate bowl. In glass serving dish, place ½ crumb mix. Place 8 half-cherries around outside edge. Spread half of applesauce on top, followed by half whipped cream. Space 8 more half cherries around edge. Repeat second layer of crumbs, applesauce and whipped cream. Decorate with more cherries (I drain cherries on paper towel to keep juice from leaking over whipped cream.). Chill until ready to serve.
