    Sweet Corn Pudding

    List of Ingredients




    1 tsp. plus 2 tbsp. butter
    3tbsp. dried fine bread crumbs
    6 eggs
    3 cups milk
    3 cups corn
    2 Tb sugar
    2 Tb brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    Butter the bottom and sides of (8 cups) casserole dish with 1 tsp. of the butter.
    Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly on the bottom and sides of the dish.
    Combine milk and eggs in a mixing bowl.
    Beat with a wire whisk until the mixture is frothy.
    Add butter, sugars, salt, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well.
    Add corn and cornmeal and mix well.
    Pour into the casserole dish and bake at 375 for about 1 – 1 1/4 hour, or until golden and knife comes out dry when tested in center.
    Serve immediately.
    Makes 8 Servings.
