Amish Pickled Eggs

2 cups vinegar
2 Tbsp. mild yellow mustard
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
6 small cloves
2 sliced onions
1 dozen hard boiled eggs, peeled
Mix vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt, mustard seed, celery seed and cloves in saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over onions and eggs. Refrigerate. Add few drops yellow food coloring, if desired.
