Green Tea and Oatmeal Bath Soak is gently soothing to sensitive skin and can be used daily if you desire. The green tea contains polyphenols which are thought to have a variety of therapeutic and healing properties while the oatmeal’s starch content makes it a natural for soothing skin. Green Tea and Oatmeal Bath Soak is especially useful for those with very sensitive skin, and is a wonderful anti-itch remedy for dry or irritated skin.

    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup instant oatmeal
1/4 cup loose green tea leaves

How to make Green Tea and Oatmeal Bath Soak:

Place loose green tea and oatmeal into a glass bowl, cover and shake to evenly distribute and mix the two ingredients.
Place green tea and oatmeal mixture into a muslin herb bag and tie closed so loose ingredients do not slip out. If you do not have a muslin herb bag handy, you can use cheesecloth.

How to use Green Tea and Oatmeal Bath Soak:

Using your bath soak mixture will be easy. All you have to do is hang the muslin herb bag on the spout of your bathtub. Then run a warm bath at a temperature that is suitable to you and allow the Green Tea and Oatmeal Bath soak to steep as the tub fills. Remove the muslin herb bag and set it aside on a non-stain surface for disposal later.

Then, just step into the bath and enjoy 15 to 20 minutes of skin soothing pleasure. Follow up with your favorite body and skin moisturizer or try one of those here at Herbal Living. Wash down the tub with a clean washcloth after you empty the basin. Empty out the muslin herb bag, and rinse with cool water. Then ring it out and put your muslin herb bag in the laundry to reuse later.

You can also increase the ingredients in equal measures to create larger portions of Green Tea and Oatmeal Bath Soak and store them in a dry place in pre-made muslin herbal tea bags or in a glass jar inside a dark cupboard. It also makes a wonderful gift for loved ones during holidays and special occasions.
