Cube Steak Parmesan

3 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg
1 tbsp water
1/3 c Parmesan cheese
1/3 c saltine crackers, crushed finely
1/2 tsp basil
1 tbsp olive oil
1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp oregano, divided
3 slices mozzarella, halved
1/3 c Parmesan
4 cube steaks
1. Preheat oven to 375*.
2. Combine flour, salt, and pepper in plate.
3. In pie plate, combine beaten egg and water.
4. On another plate, combine Parmesan, crackers, and basil.
5. Dip steaks in flour, then egg, the roll in crackers.
6. In lg skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Brown steaks on both sides. Remove to greased casserole dish.
7. Bake uncovered for 25 min. Drain juices.
8. Combine tomato sauce, sugar, garlic, and 1/4 tsp oregano. Pour over steaks. Bake 20 min longer.
9. Place mozzarella on steaks. Sprinkle with Parmesan and remaining oregano. Bake 5 more min until cheese melted.
