1. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of chili powder to each cup of
oil used in making French dressing.
2. To add a piquant flavor to French Dressing, use mint
vinegar. To make mint vinegar, heat vinegar and pour over
fresh mint leaves. Let stand for 2 weeks and strain. Garlic
vinegar may be made in the same way and used for added flavor.
3. Philadelphia cream cheese, tomato catsup and a dash
of Worcestershire improve the flavor of boiled salad dressing
and make a delightful spread for rolled sandwiches.
4. Add whipped cream to any dressing used for fruit
salad.
5. Any kind of chopped, salted nuts added to a dressing
improves the flavor.
