Bravarian Bratwurst Supper

List of Ingredients
4 bacon strips, diced
4 fresh bratwurst, cut into 2-in. pieces
1 med. tart apple, diced
1/2 c. cider vinegar
3 T. brown sugar
1 T. spicy brown mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 c. frozen cubed hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 can Bavarian-style sauerkraut, drained
Recipe
In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove with slotted spoon to a paper towel. In the drippings, cook and stir bratwurst for 10-12 min. Remove with a slotted spoon. Drain, reserve 2 tablespoons of drippings. Saute apple and onion in drippings until lightly browned. Add vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, salt, pepper and bratwurst. Cover and cook for 12 min. or until bratwurst are no longer pink; stirring frequently. Add potatoes and kraut; cook and stir 12 min. longer or until heated through. Sprinkle with bacon.
