3 strips bacon, cut into small pieces
2 sm. potatoes, cubed
2 sm. apples, cored and cubed
2 lb. Polish sausage, cut into pieces
3 tsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
2 (27-oz.) cans Bavarian-style sauerkraut
1/2 c. water
Recipe
Fry bacon and Polish sausage until bacon is crisp; drain. Add flour to drippings and blend well. Stir in kraut; mix well. Place kraut mixture, bacon and sausage pieces in crockpot. Add potatoes, apples, brown sugar, caraway seed and water; stir together thoroughly. Cover and cook on low for 7 - 9 hours or on high for 3 - 4 hours.
