    These moist double chocolate brownies have to be tasted to be believed!


    List of Ingredients


    • 14 Tablespoons butter, divided
    • 4 Oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
    • 1 1/2 Cups white granulated sugar
    • 2 1/4 Teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
    • 2 Large eggs
    • 1 Cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 Cup chopped walnuts
    • 2 1/4 Cups confectioners' sugar
    • 1/2 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 4 Tablespoons milk


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 400'. Grease 8inch square baking dish.
    2. In large saucepan over low heat, melt 8 tbsp butter and chocolate, stirring constantly.
    3. Remove from heat and stir in white sugar, 2 tsp vanilla and eggs, one at a time. Blend i flour and walnuts.
    4. Spread in baking dish and bake until brownies just start to pull from sides of pan. About 20 minutes.
    5. For frosting, in medium mixing bowl with electric mixer, beat remaining butter and vanilla until creamy.
    6. At low speed, gradually add confectioners' sugar and cocoa, alternating with milk, beating well after each addtion until frosting is smooth and fluffy.
    7. Frost brownies when removed from oven by gently spreading on. Cut into 16 squares.


    Final Comments


    Perfect served with a glass of ice cold milk. If making ahead of time, you can wrap the brownies individually in plastic wrap and store in freezer for up to 2 weeks. To eat, just heat, unwrap and serve.
