Irresistible Sausage bites


1 package won ton wrappers
1 lb. mild or spicy ground sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, diced
2 tsp. olive oil
8 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
½ tsp. oregano
Salt and Pepper to taste


Recipe


Place 1 won ton wrapper in each greased miniature muffin cup. Bake at 350 degrees for 3-4 minutes or just until golden. Remove the cups to a baking sheet.

Brown the sausage with onion and red pepper in hot olive oil in a skillet, stirring until the sausage is crumbly. Drain and cool to room temperature.

Add the cheese, oregano, salt and pepper and mix well. Spoon into the prepared cups. Bake at 350 degrees for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.

Yield: 3 to 4 dozen
