    Pear, Endive and Blue Cheese Bites


    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    4 oz. blue cheese crumbles
    2 tbsp. butter, softened
    2 green onions (green and white parts), chopped
    Dash hot pepper sauce
    24 endive leaves (from 2 to 3 endives)
    2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and sliced
    24 dried cranberries (Craisins)

    Two-inch pieces of celery rib or toasted baguette slices could substitute
    for the endive.

    In the bowl of a food processor, combine the cream cheese, blue cheese, butter, onions and pepper sauce. Process until the mixture is completely smooth, scraping down sides of work bowl several times.

    With pastry bag or two spoons, portion the cheese mixture onto endive leaves. Top each with a pear slice and a dried cranberry.

    Makes about 24 appetizers (Serves 8).
