Rio Grande Dip
two 1 pound can ( 4 cups) of pork & beans in tomato sauce, sieved
1/2 cup of shredded sharp process American cheese
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
a dash of cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons of vinegar
2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke
4 slices off crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
Recipe
Combine all ingredients except bacon, heat in chafing dish or double broiler.
Top with crumbled bacon.
Serve hot with corn chips or potato chips.
Makes about 4 cups.
