    Cappuccino Supreme

    Source of Recipe

    Suzie

    Recipe Introduction

Traditionally, Cappuccino is made with equal amounts of espresso coffee and hot milk. Served with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, or nutmeg, it is very good indeed. However, the addition of liqueurs adds a good deal of excitement and "spirit" to the occasion.

    List of Ingredients

    Cappuccino Supreme

    Cappuccino Mix:

    4 T. instant espresso coffee
    2 T. cocoa
    2 T. sugar

    Liqueurs:

    5 oz. coffee liqueur
5 oz. Crème de Cacao liqueur
    2 oz. Cognac or brandy
    4 1/2 cups boiling water
    3 cups milk
    1/2 cup whipped cream, optional
    Cinnamon, nutmeg or shaved chocolate

    Recipe

In a jar with a tight fitting lid, shake together instant coffee, cocoa and sugar until blended. In another jar, combine the liqueurs and brandy. When you are ready to serve, heat together water and milk to the
boiling point. Serving is now very simple. Place 1 t. Cappuccino Mixture into each cup. Add about 5 oz. of hot milk mixture and 1 oz. of liqueur.

Stir. Top with a teaspoon of whipped cream. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon or nutmeg or shaved chocolate.

    Serves 12
