    George Washington’s Eggnog


    1 quart of milk
    1 quart of cream
    1 dozen eggs
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 pint brandy
    1/2 pint rum
    1/2 pint rye whiskey
    1/4 pint sherry

    Recipe




    Mix spirits first and set aside.

    Separate eggs add sugar to beaten yolks mix well.

    Add spirits slowly beating after each addition.

    Add milk and cream the same way.

    Beat the egg whites until stiff fold slowly into mixture.

    Place in a cold place for several days.

    Serve cold.
