    Simple Southern Iced Tea


    4 regular tea bags, such as Luzianne
    5 cups water, divided
    1/2 cup sugar
    lemon slices

    Recipe




    Bring tea bags and 2 cups water to a boil in a pan.

    Turn off heat.

    Cover and steep 30 minutes.

    Remove and discard tea bags.

    Pour into a 1/2 gallon pitcher, and add remaining 3 cups water and sugar.

    Stir well.

    Serve over ice.

    Garnish with lemon slices if desired.

    Makes 5 cups
