Grape Catsup
5 pounds concord grapes
1/2 cup water
5 cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mixed pickling spicesRecipe
Cover grapes with water then bring to a boil.
Put softened grapes through a food mill colander or sieve and add sugar, vinegar and salt.
Tie pickling spices in a bag and add to grape mixture then simmer and stir until thick.
Remove spice bag and pour grape mixture into hot sterilized jars.
Seal and process 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
