    Fresh Orange and White Chocolate Cannoli


    * 6 pre made cannoli shells
    * 4 oz Ghiradelli Vanilla Dream white chocolate, or good quality white chocolate*, divided
    * and broken into smaller pieces
    * 1/3 cup heavy cream
    * 8 ounces light cream cheese
    * 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
    * 1 tbsp fresh orange juice
    * Zest from 1 orange, additional zest for garnish if desired

    Recipe




    In a small saucepan, heat cream and 3 ounces of the white chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool.

    With an electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and orange juice, blend well. Slowly add chocolate and cream mixture. Add orange zest. Scrape sides and beat for 2-3 minutes on high, or until light and fluffy.

    Spoon mixture into a piping bag fitted with an open tube. Pipe filling into prepared shells. In a small microwave proof bowl, melt chocolate in 25 second increments, stirring between each time, until chocolate is smooth.

    Drizzle chocolate over filled cannoli and refrigerate to set. Before serving, garnish top with fresh orange zest if desired. Cannoli will keep for up to 2 days refrigerated.

    * If using plain white chocolate, add 1/2 tsp vanilla to filling

    Makes 6 servings
