2 tablespoons lime juice, or lemon juice
1 tablespoon snipped fresh oregano or thyme, or 1/2 teaspoon dried
oregano or thyme, crushed
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 lime wedgesRecipe
Thaw the fish; if frozen.
Rinse the fish steaks & pat them dry with paper towels.
Cut the fish into four serving size pieces, if necessary.
For the Marinade: In a shallow dish, combine the lime juice, oregano, oil, lemon-pepper seasoning & garlic.
Add the fish to the marinade, turning to coat the fish with the marinade.
Cover & marinade in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, turning the steaks occasionally.
Drain the fish, reserving the marinade.
Place the fish on the greased unheated rack of a broiler pan.
Broil the fish 4 inches from the heat for 8 to 12 minutes or until the fish begins to flake when tested with a fork, turning once & brushing with the reserved marinade halfway through cooking.
