    Tuna is a good source of protein, and although some of the vitamins and minerals, the losses occur in the processing of canned tuna, the nutritional values of proteins have changed dramatically. Tuna is an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, proteins, potassium, selenium and vitamin B12..

    This is a very tasty pasta dish for children.

    List of Ingredients




    Oven Pasta with Tuna


    1 / 2 onion, peeled and finely chopped
    14 oz can of tomato soup
    1 tsp tablespoon cornstarch
    ½ cup water
    1-2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
    2 tablespoons butter
    pinch of mixed herbs
    7 oz canned tuna, drained and flaked
    freshly ground pepper
    2 cups pasta (fusilli or penne)

    Sauce with spinach:

    1 / 2 onion, peeled and finely chopped
    1 ¼ cups of milk
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 cups spinach, chopped
    2 tablespoons tablespoons flour
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 F.


    Cook the pasta in salted water until soft, drain and refresh in cold water to prevent overcooking.

    Melt the butter in a skillet and saute onion until tender. Mix cornstarch into water until dissolved, then add to pan with tomato soup. Bring to a boil, add herbs and simmer, stirring for five minutes. Add tuna and heat. Season to taste.

    For the cheese sauce and spinach, melt the butter in a skillet and saute onion until translucent. Add flour and continue stirring the mixture all the time. Gradually add milk and continue stirring until sauce is thickened and smooth. Add chopped spinach and stir until tender. Remove from heat and add the grated cheese.

    Grease the dish and add the pasta with tuna and tomato sauce and then mixed with spinach. Sprinkle with a little ‘of cheddar cheese and bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown.

    Serves 6
