    Wreath Cookies


    1 pkg. refrigerated sugar cookie dough
    2 c. shredded coconut
    2 to 3 drops green food color
    1 container ready to spread French vanilla frosting
    Green sugar or small cinnamon candies

    Recipe




    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Divide cookie dough in half (keep half of dough refrigerated until needed).

    Roll dough out on well-floured surface to 1/8 inch thick rectangle.

    Cut with cookie cutters to resemble wreaths.

    Repeat with remaining half of dough.

    Place cookies about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

    Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

    Remove cookies from baking sheets to wire rack to cool completely.

    Place coconut in resealable plastic food storage bag.

    Add food color; seal bag and shake until coconut is evenly colored.

    Frost cookies with frosting and decorate with coconut or green sugar and cinnamon candies.

    Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
