Biker Bars (a.k.a.Granola Bars)
Dry Ingredients:
2 ½ cups of oats
1/3 cup of brown sugar
½ cup of sliced almonds
½ cup of whole almonds
½ cup of pecans- coarsely chopped
½ cup of walnuts- coarsely chopped
½ cup of peanuts
½ cup of raisins
½ cup of Craisins (dried cranberries)
½ cup of mini chocolate chips
½ tsp salt
Liquid Ingredients:
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup honey
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup vegetable oilRecipe
Pre-heat oven to 225 degrees.
Coat a 9" x 13" pan with 1 tbsp of vegetable oil.
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
Heat honey and maple syrup in microwave for 35 seconds; add vegetable oil and vanilla extract.
Pour over dry ingredients and stir well.
Press granola mixture into the bottom of the cake pan.
Bake at 225°F for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Let cool before slicing into bars.
