Tangy Cold Cherry Soup
3 cups Orange Juice
3 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice With Pulp
12 cups Thawed Frozen Cherries
¼ cup Sugar
1 Envelope Unflavored Gelatin
¼ cup Cold Water
1 cup Sour Cream
½ tsp Fresh Grated Nutmeg
Optional: Fresh Cherries, lemon slices, nutmeg for garnish
Recipe
Combine the orange juice, lemon juice, thawed cherries (with any liquid), and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat.
Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
Dissolve the gelatin in the water and stir into the boiling juice mixture until slightly thickened and clear.
Remove from heat.
Gently fold in the sour cream and nutmeg.
Pour into a chilled china bowl and refrigerate, loosely covered, for at least 2 hours, or until chilled through and thickened.
