Italiano Corn on the Cob
For 8 ears of corn:
1 stick butter, softened
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon freshly chopped oregano
About 1 cup grated Romano cheese mixed with a little saltRecipe
Steam or grill corn until tender.
Meanwhile in a medium bowl, mash together butter, tomato paste and oregano with a fork.
Form into a rectangular shape (even a big blob will do), place on a butter plate and refrigerate until ready to use.
Mound cheese mixture on a medium plate.
To serve:
Roll hot cooked corn in butter, then in Romano cheese. I've seen petite women down about 4 ears at one sitting.
