    List of Ingredients

1/2 of an 11-ounce package of pie crust mix

1 (2-ounce) can anchovies, drained and soaked in milk for 20 minutes, then drained and chopped

    3 eggs

    1 tablespoon heavy cream

    3 tablespoons grated Cheddar cheese

    Pinch of ground nutmeg

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Recipe

    1. Prepare the pie crust according to package directions. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for approximately 30 minutes.

    2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

    3. Roll out the pastry very thinly on a lightly floured surface. Cut out and use to line 12 small tart tins. Divide the anchovies equally between the pastry cases.

    4. Beat the eggs in a bowl, then beat in the cream, cheese and nutmeg. Season the mixture to taste with a little salt and pepper. Carefully spoon the mixture into the pastry cases. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the filling is puffed and golden.
