    Water Chestnuts in Bacon

    This recipe was given to me by Judy of Mahwah, NJ. These things are really good. They can be made in advance and heated when ready to serve.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb bacon, cut in thirds
    • 2 (8 oz) cans whole water chestnuts
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup Miracle Whip or mayonnaise
    • 1/2 cup chili sauce


    Instructions


    1. Wrap bacon around the water chestnuts and insert toothpicks to hold upright. Bake in 350F oven for 45 minutes. Pour off grease.
    2. Mix sauce. Add the bacon wraps to the sauce.
    3. Refrigerate or freeze. When ready to serve, Bake at 350F for 20 minutes in uncovered casserole. If frozen, thaw first.
