    Biscuits, Angel

    List of Ingredients

    5 cups flour
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 teaspoons baking powder
    2 teaspoons salt
    1 cup shortening
    1 envelope of dry yeast
    1 tablespoon warm water
    2 cups of buttermilk (at room temperature)



    Recipe

    Sift together the first four ingredients. Cut in the shortening and buttermilk, then add yeast that has been dissolved in the warm water.

    A little more water may be added if it is too dry.

    Roll and cut as desired and bake about 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
