    Bread, Cheyenne Cheese


    List of Ingredients


    • 6 bacon slices
    • 3-3/4 cups flour
    • 5 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (8 oz)
    • 1/4 cup chopped onion
    • 1-1/2 cups milk
    • 2 eggs, slightly beaten


    Instructions


    1. Crisp the bacon; reserve 2 tbsp fat.

    2. Combine dry ingredients. Crumble bacon and add to dry ingredients along with the cheese and onion.

    3. Combine the bacon fat, milk and eggs. Add to the cheese mixture, mixing until just moistened.

    4. Spoon into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan immediately.
