Combine first 10 ingredients in a medium mixing bowl; make a well in center of mixture. 2. Combine eggs, milk and shortening; add to dry ingredients; stirring just until moistened. 3. Spoon batter into greased muffing pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes. Yields 1-1/2 dozen muffins
