1. Sift 1 cup sugar, flour and soda into mixing bowl. Add fruit cocktail and juice. Add eggs and beat until well mixed.
2. Pour into a greased 15-1/2 x 10-1/2 inch pan. Sprinkle top with brown sugar, coconut and pecans. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
3. Combine remaining sugar with remaining ingredients and boil for 5 minutes. Pour over cake as soon as cake is removed from oven.
