1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
1 pound fresh cranberries
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour, divided
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 cup butter
Vanilla ice cream as accompaniment
Recipe
1. Crush berries in large bowl; add vanilla and mix well. Stir in sugar and 1/4 cup flour. Pour filling into unbaked pie crust.
2. Combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup flour, walnuts and butter with a pastry blender. Mixture should be crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over pie.
3. Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
4. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
