    Amish Sour Cream Cookies

    2 cups white sugar

    1/2 cup butter

    1/2 cup shortening

    2 eggs

    1 cup sour cream

    1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    2 teaspoons baking powder

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

    4 cups flour (approximately)

    Recipe



    1. Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream, beating we’ll.

    2. Sift dry ingredients and stir in until blended.

    3. Drop by tablespoonful onto a greased cookie sheet.

    4. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 to 12 minutes..

    Makes 6 dozen cookies.
