    List of Ingredients

1 (2-pound) beef round steak, cut into 3/4-inch cubes

    3/4 cup all-purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    3 tablespoons butter or margarine

    1 cup Burgundy

    3/4 cup beef broth

    1/2 cup chopped onion

1 (3-ounce) can whole mushrooms, drained

    2 tablespoons snipped parsley

    2 bay leaves

    1 clove garlic, minced

    1/8 teaspoon pepper

    Paprika (optional)

    Parsley for garnish (optional)

    Hot cooked noodles

    Recipe

    1. Coat beef with a mixture of salt and flour, using all the flour. In skillet, melt butter; brown meat on all sides. Transfer to crockpot.

    2. Combine the remaining ingredients except noodles. Stir into meat. Cover and cook on high-heat setting for 3 hours. (Meat may be held another hour by turning to low-heat setting.)

    3. Remove bay leaves. Serve beef over noodles, sprinkle with paprika and garnish with parsley, if desired.

    Serves 6 to 8
