1 can (about 15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (about 15 ounces) great northern beans, rinsed and drained
Sour Cream
Green Onion, sliced
Sharp or Mild Cheddar Cheese, shredded
Recipe
1. In a large frying pan, over medium-high heat, cook beef, Italian sausage, bell pepper, onion, chili powder and black pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are tender, stirring to separate meat. Drain off fat.
2. In a Crock-Pot, place meat mixture and add V8 juice, kidney and great northern beans. Heat to boiling on high heat setting. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 20 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.
3. Serve hot in serving bowls. Top with a good size dollop of sour cream. Sprinkle with green onions and cheese.
