    List of Ingredients




    3 medium onions, sliced

    1 small head of cabbage, cut in wedges

    1 (3 to 4-pound) corned beef brisket

    1 cup apple cider

    1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

    2 teaspoons grated orange peel

    2 teaspoons prepared mustard

    6 whole cloves

    1 (14-ounce) jar spiced apple rings for garnish (optional)

    Recipe



    1. Place onions and cabbage in crockpot. Trim fat from brisket; place meat atop vegetables.

    2. Stir together cider, brown sugar, orange peel, mustard and cloves; Spoon over meat. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours.

    3. Garnish platter with apple rings and pass prepared mustard, if desired.

    Serves 6 to 8
