Brown the sugar and margarine in an 8-inch skillet. 2. Stir in the water and dissolve the sugar. 3. Halve the bananas lengthwise and cook them slowly for 15 minutes in the caramel sauce. 4. Add a few chopped nuts if desired. Serves 4
