    NOTE FROM PICS: "This dish is easy to make and has a delicious rich flavor. You may add more water if sauce seems too thick. I like to make it ahead of time and then layer cooled meat and sauce in a serving dish to be reheated later. It freezes well."

    List of Ingredients




    5 to 6 pound brisket

    2 onions, sliced

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    3/4 cup brown sugar

    1 cup catsup

    1/2 cup vinegar

    2 cups water

    1 tablespoon salt

    Pepper to taste

    Recipe



    1. Place onions and garlic in large pan (Dutch oven works well). Place meat on top.

    2. Mix remaining ingredients; pour over meat. Cover. Bake in a 350 degree F. oven till tender, approximately 4 hours.
