    List of Ingredients




    1 large onion, sliced

    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

    2 tablespoons oil

    1-1/2 pounds ground chuck

    8 ounces tomato sauce

    1/4 cup dry white wine OR beef OR chicken broth

    1 large tomato, peeled and chopped

    1/2 cup raisins, plumped

    1/2 cup stuffed green or black olives, quartered

    2 green bell peppers, halved and cut into strips

    Recipe



    1. Sauté the onion and garlic in oil in a large skillet until soft, but not brown. Stir in the ground chuck and cook until brown. Drain.

    2. Add all the remaining ingredients except the pepper strips. Bring to boiling, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Skim any remaining fat before serving.

    Serves 6
