1. Pour boiling water over apricots, cool to room temperature. Drain, reserving liquid.
2. Brown chops in skillet.
3. Combine seasonings, syrup and reserved liquid; pour over chops. Place apricots on top.
4. Cover; cook over low heat about 1 hour or until chops are done. (Add water to prevent sticking if necessary.) Cook uncovered for the last few minutes, spooning sauce over chops.
