    3/4 cup butter or margarine

    1-1/2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar

    1 cup whipping cream

    Recipe



    1. Combine butter and sugar in a medium-size heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until blended.

    2. Gradually add cream; cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir well.

    3. Serve Caramel Sauce warm over vanilla ice cream or pound cake.

    Yields about 2-1/2 cups
