Hot Dog Hot Pot
List of Ingredients
- 1 pound franks, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tall can of evaporated milk (1-2/3 cups)
- 1 can (12 or 16 ounces) whole-kernel corn, undrained
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Bown franks in margarine in a heay kettle. Push to one side. Add onion and saute until soft.
- Stir in potatoes, carrots, water, thyme, salt and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to boiling.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes and carrots are tender.
- Stir in evaporated milk and the corn with its liquid. Heat slowly until hot, but do not boil.
- Sprinkle servings with parsley.
