    Cabbage-Apple Skillet

    List of Ingredients

    3 Golden Delicious apples
    2 Tbs. Butter or Margarine
    1 head Green Cabbage, shredded (About 6 cups)
    1/2 cup Onion, thinly sliced
    2 Tbs. Water
    1 Tbs. Apple Cider or Cider Vinegar
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
    1-lb. fully cooked Sausage
    2 Tbs. fresh Parsley, minced


    Recipe

    Peel, core, and grate 2 of the 3 apples.
    In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter over medium heat. Add the grated apples, shredded cabbage, and onion; sauté 5 minutes. Stir water, apple cider or cider vinegar, salt, and pepper into apple mixture. Pierce sausages with fork and place on top of mixture. Cook, covered, 10 minutes or until cabbage is just cooked and sausage are heated
    through. Core and quarter remaining apple, then add it to the skillet mixture along with parsley. Cook, covered, 8 to 10 minutes.
