CHICKEN LIVER-MUSHROOM PATE

List of Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, cut up
- 1 lb. chicken livers
- 1 tsp. garlic
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/3 cup chopped green onions
- 1/3 cup dry white table wine
- pinch dill weed
- dash Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 cup soft butter
- salt
Instructions
- Heat 1/4 cup butter in large heavy skillet. Add mushrooms, chicken livers, garlic salt, paprika, and onions. Cook gently, stirring, for 5 minutes. Add wine, dill weed, and Tabasco; cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes or until everything is very tender. Cool. Put mixture into a blender and swirl until smooth. Blend in 1/2 cup of butter, taste and add salt, if desired. Put in serving bowl, cover and chill for several hours or overnight. Serve with crackers.
