List of Ingredients



• 2 cups white sugar
  
• 1 cup shortening (1/2 butter)
  
• 4 eggs
  
• 3 cups flour
  
• 1 tsp. baking powder
  
• 1 tsp. salt
  
• 1/2 tsp. soda
  
• 1 cup buttermilk
  
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  
• 1 tsp. lemon extract
  
• raisins, if desired
  






Instructions



1. Grease 2 mold pans well. Cream sugar, shortening, butter, and eggs. Combine dry ingredients and wet ingredients. Add alternately, beginning and ending with dry. Bake at 325 for 1 hour, 10 minutes. Turn upside down and sprinkle with icing sugar.
