List of Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup shortening (1/2 butter)
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- raisins, if desired
Instructions
- Grease 2 mold pans well. Cream sugar, shortening, butter, and eggs. Combine dry ingredients and wet ingredients. Add alternately, beginning and ending with dry. Bake at 325 for 1 hour, 10 minutes. Turn upside down and sprinkle with icing sugar.
