    GINGERBREAD CAKE with LEMON CREAM

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 c. butter
    • 1 c sugar
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 1 c. molasses
    • 2 1/2 c. flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • 2 tsp. ginger
    • 1 c. hot water
    • Fluffy Lemon Cream Topping:
    • 8 oz. ( 250 ml) cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 cup sifted icing sugar
    • 1/4 cup cream
    • 1- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice


    Instructions


    1. Bake cake at 350 degrees. Bake cake and let cool. Topping: Blend ingredients with an electric mixer and chill in refrigerator.
