    • 1/2 lb. white raisins
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 lb. cut up red and green glaced cherries
    • 1/2 lb. glaced pineapple, cut up
    • 1 lb. cut-up gumdrops (no black)


    Instructions


    1. Boil raisins until puffy. Pour off juice and let raisins cool. Beat together sugar and margarine; add egg. Add milk alternately with flour and baking powder (mixed). Stir in cooled raisins and mixture of cherries, pineapple, and gum drops. Bake in slow oven (300-325) in greased cake pan for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. This will make a large cake (or bake in two smaller pans). If raisins are not well drained, more flour may be needed. Use part of flour to coat fruit and gumdrops before adding to batter.
