CHOCOLATE ANGEL CAKE DESSERT

- 1 small angel food cake
- 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
- 4 eggs
- 1 large container frozen whipped topping
- slivered almonds
Instructions
- Cut angel cake into small pieces and put in a 9x13 pan. Melt chocolate bits in double boiler and add beaten egg yolks. Set aside to cool. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add chocolate mixture and stir; then add the whipped topping. Pour entire mixture over cake and pat down with a spoon so that mixture seeps through the cake. Sprinkle slivered almonds on top and refrigerate.
