    PINEAPPLE DESSERT

    • 2 Tbsp. gelatin
    • 1/2 cup cold water
    • 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    • 1/2 pint whipping cream
    • 1 large angel food cake


    Instructions


    1. Soak gelatin in cold water for 5 min.; dissolve over hot water, then add pineapple, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until gelatin and sugar are dissolved. Set in fridge and when it begins to thicken, fold in whipped cream. Line bottom and sides of a large bowl or mold with angel cake (remove crumbs). Cover with the pineapple mixture, then alternate mixture and cake until all is used. Cover with plate and let stand overnight. Cover with more whipped cream and decorate.
